My current CJ-5
This Jeep has been sold. I bought it a few summers ago to keep me busy and never really got it on the road. The frame has a crack in it under the driver side as can be seen in the picture below. It will therefore not currently pass inspection and is not safe to drive on the road. Because of the crack, I haven't driven it in a while, hence last time I attempted to start the engine, I couldn't get it to start. It turns over and fires with gas poured in the carb, it just doesn't keep running. Problem could be as simple as bad gas? I think the body is in overall decent shape considering the reputation of cj's and the age of the jeep. The passenger fender could used replaced and there is some bubbling on the rear quarter panels. I would say the floor is solid (I think it has been replaced). I was told the engine is from an'87 YJ and was professionally rebuilt and bored .030" over. The gas guage does not work. At least the driver seat isn't original. Has four 31" Mud Kings that are in really good shape. Spare tire is brand new Goodyear (31"). Comes with soft top in decent shape. I think Jeep is perfect for hunting camp, farm, or for a project/parts.
